Evan Spotte-Smith

Evan was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Gomes group at Carnegie Mellon University and worked to use machine learning for reaction discovery and optimization tasks. They obtained their PhD from the University of California - Berkeley, where they developed and applied computational methods to autonomously explore complex reaction cascades. They are an incoming Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University in fall of 2025.
