Dr. Raul Navarro research focus lies in the development of new transition metal-catalyzed coupling reactions. Current work specifically seeks to expand the breadth palladium-catalyzed decarboxylative sp3-sp3 couplings by promoting regiodivergent C-C bond formation to selectively afford allylation or cyclopropanation products. Dr. Navarro received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Yale University, went on to Caltech to secure his Ph.D. with Prof. Sarah Reisman, and conducted postdoctoral studies with Prof. Tom Wandless at Stanford University.
